Cordillera de Fuego - All about green coffee & the coffee farm

cordillera de fuego coffee farmer

This Caturra and Catuaí Anaerobic comes from Cordillera de Fuego, a micro-mill in the highlands of Tarrazú, Costa Rica. It was founded in 2015 by Luis Eduardo Campos and his partner Coco, with the goal of processing coffee from both their own farm and neighboring smallholders. Luis Eduardo has been intensively involved with anaerobic fermentation since 2006 and is one of the pioneers of this innovative method. His goal is not only to achieve exceptional quality, but above all to improve the livelihoods of local producers.

Cordillera de Fuego is a small company with a big impact: Revenue from sales to importers and roasters directly benefits the farmers. This allows around 200 families to earn a stable income – independent of fluctuations in the world market price.
