Colombia Finca Milan - All about the green coffee & the coffee farm

specialty-coffee-from-Colombia
Finca Milán is located in Betulia (Arabia, Pereira) and has been producing coffee varieties such as Pink Bourbon, Caturra, Castillo Naranjal, Colombia and Catiope since 1982.

The farm is known for innovative processing methods such as cultivation and nitro-fermentation, but also continues to rely on traditional washed and natural processing methods. Sustainability is firmly embedded in the farm's philosophy: three natural water sources and native bamboo corridors are consciously protected and preserved.

The cultivation-fermentation process combines ripe cherries with a starter culture of yeast and bacteria, as well as a substrate of local fruits, plants, and spices. This blend creates a complex flavor profile before the coffee is fermented for 5–10 days, washed, and then dried for 14–16 days.
